About Me
I graduated from Alaska Pacific University with a Doctorate of Counselling Psychology in 2017. I completed my residency in Regina Saskatchewan for the Saskatchewan Health Authority with rotations in: mental health treatment (with specific focus on anxiety disorders), neurocognitive screening/assessment, and rehabilitation (Wascana Rehabilitation Centre).
I was granted registration with the College of BC Psychologists in 2019. I spent 4 years working in rehabilitation psychology for a large rehabilitation company. In 2021, I accepted a position as a consulting psychologist for Pacific Blue Cross, BC. This work has now expanded to include both BC and Alberta.
I currently provide psychological treatment services to adults focused in the areas of mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and stress-related disorders, as well as chronic pain/chronic medical conditions. I have special interest and expertise in short/long term disability leave for mental health conditions and assisting in return-to-work processes following mental health leaves.
I am passionate about increasing timely access to mental health care in our province and strive to provide a high level of evidence-based psychological service on Vancouver Island.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, hiking, watching basketball, and enjoying all the beauty this island has to offer.
